7-Week Course for Christian Young Women
After being asked repeatedly by women and young women how to start a business, we are excited to bring you this seven-week, hands-on course! Taught by Crystal Paine, author of The Merchant Maiden, HomeGrown Business, and owner of many various income-earning ventures since a young age, this course will walk you through the basic steps to starting and running a sucessful home business from a Biblical perspective.
Topics Covered Include:
Week 1- Foundational Principles: Being Under Authority, Expanding Your Father's Vision, Having a Ministry Mindset, and Contributing to Your Family.
Week 2- How to Be Truly Successful, Character Qualities Necessary in a Successful Entrepreneur, Personal Strengths and Weaknesses, Finding Your Niche, and Choosing a Business Idea that is Right for You.
Week 3- Further Development of Your Idea, Learning Good Business Research Skills, How to Find a Good Mentor, and Testing Your Business Idea.
Week 4- When You Need to Consult a Professional, Licensing, Taxation, Funding Your Business Start-Up, and Writing a Business Plan.
Week 5- Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone, Learning to Perservere, Principles of Good Marketing, Writing a Press Release, and How to Harness the Power of the Internet.
Week 6- Good Customer Service, Keeping Your Priorities in Balance, Setting Business Goals, Not Biting Off More Than You Can Chew, and What to Do When When the Going Gets Tough.
Week 7- The Grand-Opening of Your New Business!

The Fall class begins the first week of September and runs through the third week of October.
All participants will be expected to accomplish all assignments and participate in class discussions. Participants can expect to do at least one hour of work each weekday to keep up with assignments.
All assignments and class interaction will take place via email when it works out best in your schedule each day to participate. Class participants must have basic computer knowledge and access to the internet. Crystal will be reviewing all of your assignments and will offer weekly feedback via email. She will also be available to answer your questions via email.
